Welcome to our holiday home!!! I'm Colleen of So Much to Say and I'm sharing our holiday home tour with you all today. There's nothing like a beautiful Christmas tree to give your home that warm and cozy feeling that we all crave in the winter - especially in the Northeast! The days of a tree with coordinating ornaments are long gone for us!! We have two trees in our house. One in the family room pictured below and another in our family room in the basement.
Let's start that tour . . . .
This year I found this burlap ribbon at Michael's and used that as garland. I love the look although I always, always have an issue putting the ribbon on there. I swear I never get it to look pretty!
Our mantle this year is a bit pathetic! ha! That wreath lights up but it fell down within a half hour of me putting it up. I had to buy more command strips and once I tried new ones it stayed put. But I have to admit I was nervous to put up some of the other decor up there as I was afraid it would fall and all would come crashing down!
Gift wrap these year is plain craft paper. I used some ribbons that I had on hand to decorate them.
Our tree has so many different ornaments on there. Some the kids made and some I bought over the years. Each one tells a little story and I love that about our tree. I bought the glitter ones last year from Pottery Barn on sale. The initials are from Pottery Barn too and those were purchased this year.
We display our Christmas card on our pantry door with some ribbon.
The merry letters were a pinterest project. love the look!
I have to say the living room mantle is a favorite of mine this year. You see the remnants of our 25 days of activities we did this year. That's been alot of fun! I am hoping to keep this tradition.
This is the table in our foyer.
And this is polka dot our elf. He was hanging out with Santa this morning. Smart guy!
Hope you enjoyed the tour!!!
Lovely Colleen, my favorite is also the living room mantel. Hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas this year :)
